Is it necessary to meet with the general contractor for your kitchen renovation personally before hiring them?
If you want to have a detailed and complete understanding of what can be accomplished with your kitchen renovation project and how your contractor can make it happen, a personal visit with them is always recommended. It is even better if a prospective contractor can meet you at your home to make preliminary inspection of your kitchen area much easier. It will also serve as a preliminary discussion where you can ask for an estimate of the project, ask them questions on parts and materials you are not aware of or don't fully understand, and check their portfolio. After all, a face-toface discussion is always better than going through emails back and forth.
