Here is a list of some of the best 2018 fall events in Westchester you can attend within and around the county: 

1. The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze 

October 4, 2018, to November 24, 2018, at various times throughout the day. Admissions: $22/Adult (Fri-Sat $27), $16.00/3-17 years old (Fri Sat $20), Free Members/Children Under 3. 

The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze is a spectacular event to attend with the family especially the kids. It has a mind-blowing seven thousand different designs of illuminated Jack O’Lanterns. All lanterns are hand-made and crafted artistically. This year, there is a brand-new medieval castle that everyone can experience against the 18th-century landscape as your backdrop. 

With your tickets, you get passes to see all the fun activities like strolling on the Pumpkin Zee Bridge, watching the underwater creatures, visiting the Pumpkin Planetarium, admiring the Pumpkin Carousel Twirl, and so much more. 

The event will take place at the Van Cortlandt Manor, Croton-on-Hudson, NY. 

 2. Irving’s Legend

Going to Irving’s Legend might be a better way to spend a weekend with your partner during the season. It features master storytellers that give theatrical interpretations of the classic tale, The Headless Horseman, by Washington Irving. 

The performances are truly spooky with accompanying dramatic background music and sound effects. The event stars Jonathan Kruk and Jim Keyes. 

3. Oktoberfest 

October 4 to 7, 2018 and October 11 to 14,2018 from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Admissions are free. 

If you want to spend your fall weekend with food, games, and lots of beer, Oktoberfest is absolutely for you. The event brings you four weekends of fun in New York. You can have a fun weekend with friends and family right in the middle of the Big Apple, and it’s for free. 

You can start by joining the event’s stein holding contest or simply watching and enjoying the festivities with a big glass of authentic German beer. There is more than enough room for the whole gang with over 3,000 square foot of space for fun games and other activities.

4. The Unsilent Picture

This Unsilent Picture is a totally new fall event for this year. It is inspired by “The Adventure of the Mysterious Picture,” a spooky tale by the legendary Washington Irving. It features a haunting performance by Bill Irwin in the original silent film.

5. The 17th Annual Village of Tarrytown Halloween Parade 

October 27, 2018, at 5:30 PM. Raindate is on October 28th. Admissions: $18/Adult, $5/Members with a $2/ticket surcharge for onsite and phone purchases. 

The 17th Annual Village of Tarrytown Halloween Parade will feature participants in the most ghoulish costumes for Halloween. Every year, spectators, by the thousands, come to enjoy this grand event. There will be an array of performers, marching bands, and dance groups. 

This is absolutely a fall event to see. The parade will be at 33 Main St, Tarrytown, NY 10591.
